Bandit Attacks

A group of mercenaries, some would say adventurers, were hired by an individual who seemed to come from the Ministry of Bounties, a sub-ministry of the Equillonian Interior Ministry. These individuals consisted of at least one dwarf, a Gnome, an Elf, a hairy naked Orc, a bumbling thief and a very sneaky mage. they were hired to bring back two people who were the remnants of The Fists of Havok, a mercenary band that had attacked villages in Dalcimeer some years previously.
There travelled to a village on the border of Equil and Dalcimeer wherein they saw what looked like spectral men riding skinny yet demonic looking horses. A fight ensued where they discovered that at least one of the Ghost Riders was human. The other riders escaped on horseback by riding into the air and across the sky.
This group gathered their thoughts at the local village, discussing plans, upsetting the locals, almost burning the village inn down, usual for mercenary/adventurers. The next day they met their guide who would lead them to a secretive location where they could make a swift entry into Dalcimeer without any patrols spotting them. The entrance was a tunnel which was very long. During their journey they met an Undead Swarm of tiny skeletal spiders in which they promptly avoided rather than fought.
Once in Dalcimeer they made their way to the forest where the two men and their band of thieves were attacking villages from. At the ruins of a building apparently once called Auden's Inn they met a strange bird-woman and her bug-winged bear-creatures, whom the locals called a Harpy, who spoke of many confusing things including her last visitor, some Elven Noble many hundreds of years ago, the Gnomes and Dwarves being forsaken and her Sisters that she missed but didn't miss. Once she had imparted this she left with her fellow creatures in a whirl of wind.
Eventually the party came upon an old temple where the thieves were using as a base. Many fights ensued whereupon the naked Orc learn't not to upset ferrets and the rest discovered that a forest can burn. Despite their valiant efforts the party had to leave due to damaged sustained in their battles. Theye did not manage to capture the two leaders though the forest fire was dealt with. The men are still at large and the bounties available.
