Diplomatic Summit
From Twilight Realms Wiki
The most powerful figures in the civilised world are making their way to the self proclaimed "Birthplace of mankind" Jaifa Imotep, public guild representative of the Guild of Assassins and spokesman of the Voice has personally arranged this meeting, and has promised a safer venue than previous countries.
"We will bring enlightenment to the other nations," said Kiltep Majai, speaking on behalf of Imotep while he is on official business preparing for the other nations delegates, "Jaifa Imotep himself said that we would prefer to enlighten some nations rather than others but we have to be fair to even the barbarians." Majai ended his statement there, pausing only to clarify that he was referring to no one specifically as barbarians. It is certain however that with war already being fought in some parts of the world, this will be the time to find out who your allies are.
The city of Selamine was brought to a standstill as citizens flocked to see two strange vessels anchored off their coastline. The ships appeared in the port late last night and were believed to be merchant ships arriving for the Kahzaran trade summit, however as day broke it was clear to see that one of the vessels was a warship of unknown origin. A visiting merchant to Selamine said "At first glance I would have said they were elven but with closer inspection the ships strange architecture and the human crewmen were quite visible."
The summit was the first time many of the newly emerged counties met with the pirate nation of Talag.
Later, after the diplomatic meal, the elvish contingent learned of the Orc attack on Nadar
King Shafeira - ruler of Kahzara was due to meet with Kalia Nesquidarr of Dalcimeer to discuss terms of aid to be negotiated with Brindle on behalf of Nadar. Wu, the Kings aide was shocked to discover that Shafiera was missing from his bed during the night - and more shocking still signs of a struggle and blood in his room.
Kahzaran officials questioned all visitors to the palace but did not locate the orc advisor from the Kaharan Orc clans. Majai speaking on behalf of Jaifa Imotep expressed great concern for the loss of their nations great leader. "Imotep will rule in his place," Majai stated, "until such time as our beloved king may be found" A substantial reward is said to be on offer for any who can locate and rescue the King
Later it was officially confirmed that Jaifa Imotep, First Prime of Kahzara was to be the next king of Kahzara because of King Shafiera's untimely disappearance. Imotep had taken over the day to day administration of Kahzara so it would seem natural for this to occur. There are still no clues to the location of Shafiera nor whether he has fallen victim to foul play. The loss of their monarch was a serious blow to the Kahzaran people. Shafiera was the last in a long line of descendants of Jhuna, the first man according to Kahzaran Lore. Shafeira came to the throne only briefly after an extended ritual of mourning for his lost elder brother - the rightful King. Shafiera was said to have been planning to ressurect his brothers policies in his honour before he disappeared
