Dragon Head Peninsula

The Dragon's Head peninsula is so named due to it's uncanny likeness to the creatures on myth and legend. The Peninsula itself has many stories of lore related to it. Nautical tales of yore refer to a Dragon's Roar, a horrendous sound emanating from the Peninsula. Scholars have said it is the turbulent sea, a common occurrance rounf the head, clashing against rocks or rushing through underground caves. the more superstitious think that perhaps the name refers not just to its shape.
