Invitations to the wedding of Lady Kalia to an unknown male were sent out across the realms. Included in the invitation was indications that a coronation was to occurr. Those that came witnessed the marriage ceremony and the coronation. As the crown was placed onto the head of Lady Kalia, turning her into Queen Kalia, her entire body was frozen into a block of ice. Many tried to free her but failed. The only way it would seem to free her was the use of a magical sword called Thaw which was stolen by one of the attendees named Cole who was associated with the Kahzaran delegation. the sword was prevously located by Queen kalia's father Innauden Nesquidarr
The sword fell into the Undead Queen's hands, though sources say it was given by Cole probably under the orders of the Kahzaran delegates whose involvement in the Anti-Elven Alliance is common knowledge. The Undead Queen rather than the Ice Queen, left with the sword to melt the ice from the Forest of Masts thereby giving her a large navy to conquer the world.
