Treasure Hunt
From Twilight Realms Wiki
Letters were sent out in the year 305 AR, Year 905 inviting representatives from a variety of countries to locate and keep item called The Peacemaker Stone. The Marquis who sent the invites did not specify how this knowledge had been discovered and even now this is not known.
Many countries sent representatives to the island from such locations as Equil, Nadarr, Dalcimeer, Pillai, some far flung country off in the West of the Realms and some from the so called Forsaken Race, Gnomes. They encountered the pirates living on the island and even some of their leaders, the Marquis that were overseeing the day to day running of the island. Also on the island were what would seem to be a native tribe but their origins were unknown. The pirates were living in a variety of ancient buildings that apparently were already there when the pirates found the isle. The ruins also had nearby a tomb which was left alone by the pirates though it was clear that previous attempts to open it had occurred. Those that had gone for the treasure inside had met with horrific fate seen by their screaming visages sent in the stone wall of the tomb. The Peacemaker stone was, so it seemed, intrinsically linked to the tomb.
Throughout the days a variety of altercations between a the inhabitants of the isle occurred. One such was the Stand at the Weeping Tree
The representatives worked together to try to locate the stones resting place especially after the revelation that there was a small band of Orcs nearby also seeking the stone. There was a larger contingent of Orcs at the other side of the island including at least the Helvetians with perhaps the Brindilians camped there as well, the details were unclear. It would seem that they were searching for the Peacemaker Stone at that side of the island or something possibly something else. It came to light that the Orcs were also searching for something else maybe the same thing and either thought the chest holding the stone was what they were ooking for or were just opportunistic. What was definite was that they were aided, as information found led to believe, by an elf but from which country was not discovered.
The Orcs did manage to steal the stone from its original location and the collected group of Realmsfolk stole the box, that contained the gem, back off the Orcs. What was left to decide was to either open the tomb and who was to leave with the box. What decision was made is unclear as numerous individuals left the island to return to their respective countries. The tomb was left intact its secrets left untouched.
