God of Elements & Nature

Alaie has dominion over earth, air, water and fire. She is often refereed to as the goddess of nature and is seen as representing one element or many.
After the goddess Tempress turned against her fellow deities and created the World of Tempress, each of the six remaining gods, often referred to as the prime deities, chose to take up an aspect of life to watch over. Alaie chose the elements and nature.

Worshipers

As with all deities, the worshipers of Alaie come in a variety of forms.
Worshipers of Alaie have great connections to the natural world, and strive to show respect and provide balance.
For this reason, druids, rangers, elves and seafarers are often worshipers of this goddess, casting their prayers to ensure safety and good health.
Clerics and paladins of Alaie possess a wide range of skills. Their magical prowess leans towards, healing, light, fire, water and other forms of elemental magic.
Though there are great difference in skill, these devotees typically uphold some basic principles shared by most Alaie followers: take only what you need from the land, respect the awesome beauty and dangers of the wild and destroy unnatural abominations, such as undead and aberrations.
Otherwise, Alaie attracts quite a mixed group of worshipers, and this is translated to their uniformity. Some temples have chosen to adopt matching robes sporting the symbol of Alaie, but, often, the goddess's followers sport what ever natural clothing available - including furs, bone, shells, plant life and even mud. No part of an animal should be allowed to go to waste.
The elven nations of Nadarr and Dalcimeer live at one with nature and hold Alaie above all the other deities. Their ancient practices see that the spirits of their fallen brethren become spirits which can be infused with items for magical effect, or returned to the elements, enhancing the land.
For our Into the Wilds D&D games, you can have a character of any class follow the Piety Path - Alaie, in order to get the God of Nature's favour.

Temples

Temples of Alaie vary depending on their placement.
Churches established within cities are often stone-built buildings with many windows, filled with propagated plant life and greenery. Some have alters, but others have fountains and pools, where worshipers can feel closer to the natural elements which their goddess has dominion over.
Many believe true shrines to Alaie are best built outside the oppressive environment of towns and cities. Demonstrations of worship are frequently established at sights of natural splendor, in the form of wood carvings, rare plants and feeding grounds for a wealth of diverse animals.
In Nadarr and Dalcimeer, elves build their shrines into great trees, within their immense canopies and sometimes within the trunks of the ancient woodland.
In general, the manner in which Alaie congregations worship appears to be less prescribed than other churches. But, followers are encouraged to take pilgrimages to sights of natural beauty to enhance their connection with Alaie regularly, particularly around season changes.
