Impui was discovered in a tomb within Kahzara when a group of adventurers delved beneath the land in search of an ancient weapon. Sent by the Dalcimeerian Queen, Kalia Nesquidarr, the group when in search of this weapon as a potential means of culling the undead threat gathering in the North. After disarming many, many traps the group entered an ancient tomb containing a huge Kahzaran statue. The gem set within the handle of the statues scepter was broken but the party had brought several shards of Genai Stone in order to fix this Jewell. Agron stepped froward and used the Genai Stones to release the weapon from the statue and took the weapon.

In that moment the tomb began to collapse. As the adventurers ran, the sounds of echoing footprints could be heard. By taking the scepter, the party had awoken the Kahazaran stature - Impui.

It became clear that Impui would follow the scepter relentlessly. Eventually, on returning to Dalcimeer they party studied a ritual that would seal Impui within a dimensional prison. However, some element of the Ritual went wrong and before the gate sealed Prince Thayne realised that Impui had been transported to the displaced land of Anglan.
