The party hits up Yanif and then sets out to the [Tower of Dariss]], alongside Lorey. At the base of the tower, the group meet with the Helvettian’s who have built a palisade around the fortress entrance. Inside, the group discover tracks from someone who has ventured the tower recently and the Dariss alter opened to reveal a depleted Genai Stone. The group discover a scouting party from the army in the north, they have been sent to retrieve Genai Stones. Delivering some of the captured scouts to the Helvettians, the adventurers discover a magical carpet within their belongings. More thorough searching reveals the black knight, or The Martial as he is formally known. The group are met by conflict, when they discover The Martial has animated the ten warriors of Dariss and turned them into undead warriors. The group manage to destroy the undead warriors by removing the small Genai Stones that have been inserted into their one eye socket. Continuing on after the martial, the group find a priest and large genai creature inside a room with an altar. Before the party can reach them, they are transported in time onto the roof of the Tower of Dariss, assaulted by Wyverns, surrounded by an army and in the company of a concentrating female warrior. It is revealed that Dariss had orchestrated the situation in order to speak more directly to his followers. Just as vital information is revealed, the group is returned into the catacombs, in their own time. Here the group kill the priest, Genai golem and chase after the black knight who disappears from the tower. Returning, exhausted, to the chamber the group identify the magic items found. This rest is interrupted by Morthel who attempts to talk to the magic users, before Harbinger charges him, revealing he was merely an illusionary figure. Investigating a series of secret doors, the group discovers a shrine inhabited by a tentacle creature and the undead spirit of Tarak (the corporal host for Zadak).
