The Tower of Dariss is located to the north east of Myste-Hass, the opposite side of the river to the Eastern Swamp. High above the rolling hills, an outcropping of rock looks over the nearby plains. On top of the torr is a man-built tower.
Adventurers first discovered the tower when the nearby lands were being harassed by harpies. The adventurers entered the outcropping of rock through a broken cellar entrance. This entrance leads down into a cavernous chamber with an underground river. Rising from the cavern is a immense spiral staircase that emerges onto a plateau where the entrance to the tower was. On the outside of the outcropping of rock, there were foundations for a staircase that had long rotted away.
Inside the tower, there was number of floors. On one of the floors, there was a room containing eleven sarcophaguses. Ten were filled with the bodies of paladins of Dariss. The final coffin belonged to Ardanath Cross. The paladins had been buried to watch over the immensely powerful individual, Adranath entombed within.
The tower has many basement levels and a huge complex of catacombs below this. Within the catacombs there is a a river a black ooze that flows through a number of chambers. There is also a large chamber containing huge, seemingly-natural purple Genai Stones.

Ascending the stairs, the party finally reach the harpies and are nearly drawn over the edge to their deaths. With the aid of magic, the group defeats the harpies and reaches an outcropping with a door into the main structure of the Tower of Dariss. From here it’s visible there are two further towers within The North Woods. Skamarir transforms into a spider and, gradually, the party enters the tower. Inside they face further attacks from harpies. Berticus has a vision of a large battle taking place at the tower in times past. Harbinger finds a magical sword, Blood Fang, within a chimney.
