Gamesh, also known by Soto or Lorikay, was an ancient goliath vampire discovered at the pyramid. He awoke and killed many before being defeated.
Whilst exploring the pyramid, the adventurers entered a room with a large stone doors and a big sarcophagus within. There were paltforms around the room filled with skulls and an axe embedded in the far wall. From the axe, a streak of crimson stained the stone, dribbling into a hand-shaped mark. The axe was magical and the handle was wrapped with a scroll written upon snake-skin leather.
There were urns just inside that contained a silver-like powder. When combined with water and released into the air, this powder causing the inhaler to sleep for five-thousand years without ageing, a infliction that affected Kellen.
One word was written on the base of the sarcophagus - 'Lorikay'. The group opened the coffin, revealing a rotten figure bedecked in gems and finery. He was wearing a mask made out of jade with pupils of obsidian
The creature suddenly rose from the sarcophagus and his skin began to heal. The adventurous attacked, and dealt a large amount of damage to the creature. Still, he ensured their attacks before turning into a mist and escaping through the pyramid.
The party poured holy water into his crypt and then break up the skulls in his room. They found several urns filled with a thick, oil-like liquid. But, it was not a black tar like traditional oil.
Later, adventurers were investigating the mysterious death of a mage, Alnuf Zeb. Visiting the deceased home, his wife had a goliath companion who she called Soto. Datura investigated one of the back rooms alone and was charmed by the goliath wearing jade-beaded armour, then drained completely by vampire before the others could reach her to aid. Once again, he escaped.
On another occasion, Gamesh was encountered at the Sanguine Heart. The Sanguine Heart was a wine warehouse who claimed to provide unique healing magic. In fact, the business was a front for a group of vampires who were trying to live without killing or hurting wherever possible. Effectively, these vampires had set up a support network where they mentored and aided one another through their struggles, and fed from a small number of humans who would volunteer their blood for payment in various forms.
Gamesh sought shelter with these vampires but did not agree with their ideals, and, instead, used his power to control the newer undead, harnessing them for a ritual he was trying to achieve.
Bern said that she had never met Gamesh, but she did remember Mother telling her tales about him. Apparently, Gamesh had always considered himself to be the best and was very arrogant. He wanted to be king. However, Bern also advised the part that he was a man out of his time now, and he would seek shelter where he was most familiar and comfortable. Bern tried to scry but got no results.
Dramos's unsusal companion, Godrick, said that Lorikay Gemesh was around from a time before the gods. Godrick had served a master who was looking for a powerful item. Waking Lorikay Gemesh’s master would be fateful. In his time he was looking to turn as many people as he could into vampires. The only person who could keep in check was his master. He would need some kind of benefactor in this world.
Scrying on Gamesh revealed he was located at the local orphanage, Hope Home for Children. Adventurers rushed to the location and discovered another vampire painting with the blood of the murdered children. Gamesh had an artifact that he placed on the body of the deceased child, causing it to bloat and reanimate.
Gamesh called Datura to him, and, compelled by his charm abilities, she followed, racing to a room with a stone sarcophagus. She lay in coffin and when the lid closed was transported elsewhere. Rasvyn determined they had teleported to the Pyramid, along with Milvere Sten, the women who sold cakes in the Market and Remy.
The group head back into the pyramid to find those captured and kill Gamesh. After a long and challenging route through the structure, a secret door leads to the vampire performing a ritual to bring forth a gigantic women, ivory-white all over. Rasvyn dispels the magic on the Genai Stone fuelling the ritual to destroy the summoned women, Gamesh turns to mist and Til destroys it with spiritual guardians. Datura collapses with no pulse.
As dawn rises, Dramos opens a teleportation portal out of the pyramid and back to the Temple of Imogen in Myste-Hass. Maolmhuire heads to the Temple of Garr to seek advice from Meclan and Hella. Meclan secretly guides Maolmhuire toward a ritual circle. Rasvyn, Maolmhuire and Dramos are transported to another plane and must present themselves to an angelic-like creature, offering a trade of the bone devil in the Soul Jar for Datura. The resurrection is successful.
