Garrick was transported into the world of Tempress in 3316 following his Prince, and friend, Thayne. During a conflict with a demon, a portal opened pulling Prince Thayne through the Void gate and Garrick followed jumping in, alongside two other Anglan knights, Corvis and Eziekel, in order to protect the Prince.

The portal emerged in Dalcimeer where the knights were pursued by a whistler demon that had also traveled through the rift.

Eventually, the adventurers traveled south to Brindle where they were investigating an ancient vampire heart that had been combined with a Genai Stone to produce some form of black liquid. Whilst the adventurers were investigating something in the woods a conflict occurred that saw Garrick gravely wounded and, in order to save him, he was fed a vial of the black liquid. Immediately, the blood of the ancient vampire, Tamara, took hold making Garrick extremely powerful and haunted by the thoughts of ancient being.

Garrick became obsessed with destroying Prince Thayne who appeared to have abandoned his men and only brought further destruction on the isolated nation of Anglan. Garrick set his desires on bringing Anglan back from the void via means of a very powerful portal, known as the White Gate. However, returning an entire country to the oceans and land masses would have generated incredible destruction for the known world. In a final desperate attempt to stop Garrick causing such devastation an Avatar sent the adventurers back in time, allowing them to stop the White Gate being constructed. Yet, the repercussions of such a change were vast and now a new God, Fate, meddles with the balance of the world.

In Thayne's last meeting with Garrick, Titus managed to stab Garrick with a spear covered in a poison developed specifically for powerful unliving. Garrick disappeared into the night, leaving the adventurers unsure if the poison would take hold.
